Scholarships
ClexaCon has been described as life-changing; a safe space for LGBTQ+ women, trans, non-binary, and genderqueer people and our allies to meet, share our interests and make new connections that can make our lives better.
We know that it is tough to sometimes make ends meet, or even to be accepted for who you are at home, work, or school. So, we want to help more people attend ClexaCon and we will help cover some of the costs of getting you there.
We’ll be awarding full scholarships that cover the costs of flights, hotels, and convention tickets as well as partial scholarships. The total number of scholarships awarded changes each year. The ClexaCon Scholarship Fund helps offset travel and accommodation expenses and provides free tickets to selected attendees, panelists and guests who otherwise could not afford to attend ClexaCon. Scholarships are awarded based on an essay submission. Scholarship amounts will vary depending on several factors including how much money is raised, how many people apply for scholarships and the location and circumstances of scholarship winners.
It is designed to assist members of our community who might not otherwise be able to attend due to financial hardship. We have heard from individuals that would like to help those who are unable to fund their own way. The Scholarship Fund is a way to pool many small donations in order to help the most people.

Panelists, filmmakers, attendees and anyone who wants to attend ClexaCon but cannot afford to, should apply.
To apply, visit the application page, use the form to submit a 350 word max. essay describing why you want to attend ClexaCon. We want to hear your story and how much of a difference attending ClexaCon could make to you.
If you are receiving a scholarship, you will receive an email directly from the scholarship committee.
Scholarship applications will be accepted and reviewed throughout the year. We will let you know when we have reviewed your application and a decision has been made.
