Chaune King also known as LEGA$IE has worked in the entertainment industry for over 6 years. Chaune King burst onto the scene in 2002 and was known for his bold lyrics and heavy bass lined tracks as an LGBT artist with the talent, drive and ambition to be heard. He steamrolled a path throughout the music industry touring across the UK, Europe and the USA making himself a household name.
Chaune King has been focusing on his comeback developing his acting skills. He was featured in Campbell Blackman’s hit LGBT film “Stud Life” which was the beginning of his journey launching himself back into the limelight.
Chaune King return has led him to many award nominations, such as the LGBT Entertainer of the year nominee in 2006 & 2007, The Camden Unsung Music Hero Award nominee in 2011, but for him, the highlight thus far was winning a BLGBT Community Leader of the Year Award in 2008. Chaune King has also released two independent albums under his previous alias “Mz Fontaine”, which led to his music being featured on the hit USA show The L-Word.
Chaune King is presently one of the lead actors in the award-winning web series called “Spectrum London” which launched in May 2017. This is currently available on YouTube and Chaune has been re-casted for a second season. Chaune has recently been cast in a new comedy series called “FlatShare” which is soon to be premiered across the UK highlighting the problems being faced by our local communities throughout the inner London boroughs.
Chaune King currently holds patronage for “Diversity Role Models” and “Schools Out” charities. Chaune King also held a patronage with Pride London during (2002 -2012). Chaune King’s love for his community and body of work stretches across the UK, working in schools and businesses combating BLGBT stigmas and discrimination.
